2. Remain open minded to include advertising spots on your main content pages.
    

3. It's always best to add others links to your directory before contacting someone regarding an exchange.
    

4. Visit our page that includes web sites that are actively exchanging advertising.  If there are any web sites that your web site would be eligible to exchange advertising with, follow the links to their submission forms and submit your web site.
    

5. Search popular search engines using the name of each of your categories and words and phrases associated with your categories combined with phrases such as "submit site", "add URL", "exchange links", "link exchange", "submit url", "add site".  This will help you to find other web sites that encourage link and advertising exchanging.  Follow the directions located on their web site to exchange links.  If there are not any instructions and they don't have a links page, add their link and then contact them and politely request to exchange links.
    

6. If you don't hear back from a potential link exchange partner for two weeks, try sending a friendly reminder.  If you don't hear back within another two weeks, it is normally safe to assume that they are not interested in exchanging advertising.
    

7. Search popular search engines for link exchange clubs, forums, newsletters and databases to find other web sites who are interested in exchanging links and advertising.
